An American woman came up with small free storerooms to help those in need

Free mini-libraries began to appear in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They are lockers where anyone can put a book and take the ones that are there to read. Here is such a simple exchange.

Local resident Jessica McClard was interested in what is the secret of their popularity. The 41-year-old woman said that, in her opinion, such selfless acts create an opportunity for the manifestation of good neighborliness and the identification of social problems that do not disappear anywhere, even if we do not face them every day. And then Jessica came up with the idea to go a little further and create a Little Free Pantry ("little free pantry").

She installed the first storeroom near the Lutheran church. Her idea turned out to be very successful. Now the project has more than 10 thousand subscribers on Facebook, and small storerooms appear in other places.

Anyone can support The Little Free Pantry project in two ways — either put something in the existing lockers, or create their own little free pantry.
