Against fornication and drunkenness: 70 liters of holy water were poured on Tver from an airplane
The fight against morality in Russian cities is in full swing. This time Tver became the arena of the battle with evil, where the issue of crushing the diabolical temptations in the form of alcoholism, drug addiction and fornication became acute. Of course, there were clergymen at the forefront of the desperate battle with the evil one, who spared neither strength nor holy water for the good of the city.
On September 11, Russians celebrate not only the Beheading of the head of John the Baptist in cities and villages, but also a more applied holiday — Sobriety Day. Metropolitan Savva of Tver and Kashinsky and Father Alexander (Goryachev) decided to make a luxurious gift to Tver residents and guests of the city and poured 70 liters of holy water on them from the plane.
The event was held within the framework of the traditional procession for this date and it becomes quite obvious that there is no escape from grace now even under the clouds. During the responsible, almost military operation, there were also icons of the "Inexhaustible Chalice" and the face of John the Baptist on board the aircraft, designed to enhance the miraculous effect of sprinkling.
Another participant in the flight was a married couple in which the husband miraculously healed from addiction to the green snake. Of course, the newly-born teetotaler was not dumped on the city, but simply rolled in the form of encouragement to motivate Tver alcoholics to stop with hot drinks.
Father Alexander brought a powerful scientific base to the event, completely defeating the haters who tried to ridicule the God-pleasing action:
For particularly malicious detractors, the clergyman reserved a separate appeal, which was recorded by journalists after an epic church flight:
It is not difficult to understand the indignation of Alexander's father, because during the flight he and his partner had to overcome special difficulties. The holy water did not want to be sprinkled with a sprinkler. Her sobriety and chastity-bearing drops were carried by oncoming air currents back into the cabin of the plane, falling on the churchmen. Of course, the clergy did not need it, so it was decided to pour water on the city simply from a bowl.
It remains to be hoped that the feat of the spiritual pastors was not in vain and repentance will descend on at least one Tver sinner. It's nice to think that next year there may be a little more passengers on the plane over the city.
It is important to remember that alcoholism destroys not only a person's personality, but also his health. Having stopped drinking alcohol, positive changes can be felt in the coming days.
