Africa's first underwater hotel room

Sleeping surrounded by the inhabitants of the underwater world today is considered a special chic.

Africa's first underwater hotel room opened this month. That is, this number is the second of its kind in the world.

The design of the room at the Manta Resort hotel (which is located off the island of Pemba in the Indian Ocean) was entrusted to the Swedish artist Mikael Genberg, who participated in the creation of the world's first underwater room in one of the Swedish lakes. The Manta Resort room is anchored four meters below the surface of the water - a little deeper than the Swedish counterpart.

The three-story suites include a roof deck, a lower deck where boats moor and, of course, an underwater bedroom with large windows that give an almost complete view and allow you to admire the coral reef and watch the life of dozens of species of marine life. This whole structure is securely fixed with a system of anchors and cables.

A night in such a room will cost $900 for one person and $1500 for a couple.
