A young American woman almost became disabled due to vaping
Millions of young people smoke vape, considering it a safe alternative to cigarettes. However, the example of Vanessa von Schwarz from Los Angeles confirms that vaping can lead to serious consequences. Several years of smoking electronic cigarettes made the girl almost incapacitated. Thanks to the doctors, she managed to get out of a terrible state, but the American still feels the consequences of the addiction.
20-year-old Vanessa started smoking vape at the age of 15. It got to the point that she was seized with anxiety and nausea if she did not take another drag.
In 2017, the girl felt weakness in the muscles of her arms and legs. She went to the doctors when she fell and broke her head. Doctors immediately suggested a connection between the malaise and the fall.
Vanessa began to feel the unpleasant effects of smoking vape two months after the first puffs. One day the girl woke up in the morning, smoked an electronic cigarette as usual, and then fell unconscious. Since then, every time after smoking, she felt weakness in her knees, numbness in her fingers and toes and increased heartbeat.
In 2018, the student started having migraines. She was sick if she didn't take a puff for several hours. Gradually, the weakness worsened, but Vanessa tried not to pay attention to it. The girl sounded the alarm when she started working as a stylist and was on her feet for 9 hours a day. The pain in the extremities increased, and the upper part of the body became weaker and weaker. Over time, it became difficult for the girl to hold even a bottle of water in her hands.
Fortunately, Vanessa managed to quit the bad habit, but she still suffers from dermatomyositis, which caused swelling and rashes.
The American woman remembers how she started smoking. At the age of 15, while studying in high school, the girl smoked with her friends in the school toilet. It seemed to her that thanks to vape, she became more confident, slimmer and more mature. The electronic cigarette suppressed anxiety attacks and calmed down. But regular smoking has led to disastrous consequences.
Now Vanessa warns everyone that getting rid of nicotine addiction is incredibly difficult. The consequences of smoking vape had a hard impact on her health. The girl almost became disabled and is still struggling with the negative consequences of smoking. Her father, doctor and medical researcher Dr. Ernst von Schwarz, wrote a report on his daughter's clinical case to draw public attention to the negative impact of electronic cigarettes on the body.
Meanwhile, doctors decided to publish X-rays of the lungs of smokers after a series of deaths associated with the use of vaping to warn everyone about its harm.
