Lisbon-based photographer Hugo Suissas demonstrates the wonders of perspective in amazing and funny shots that will delight all lovers of brides in the palm of their hand (but not only them).
Hugo creates magical, surreal images using complex perspectives and unusual angles. In his works, he transforms simple bridges and landscapes into fairy-tale places, and ordinary objects like keys, fruits and children's toys into magical props. Each photograph has its own story and idea, and they all help to see the boring gray world in a new, bright light.
Tourists often use different angles, scale and depth to create original photos near landmarks (like the Leaning Tower of Pisa). But Lisbon photographer Hugo Suíssas uses this technique in a special way. He creates photos that transform ordinary landscapes and everyday objects into funny compositions with their own story.
The photographer changes the usual vision of bridges and landscapes to fantastic worlds, and keys, fruits and toys become props. Each photo has its own idea and helps to see the familiar world in a new light.
In one image, Suissas transforms an arch in Lisbon’s famous Praça do Comércio into a keyhole. In another, the arch becomes a light bulb thanks to a metal base positioned at a certain angle. When he’s not photographing buildings and landmarks, Hugo uses his photography skills to interact with the world around him, from playgrounds to clouds in the sky.
No matter where he shoots, it's clear that Hugo has a boundless imagination and sense of perspective.
