A German designer has invented a fundamentally new type of male contraceptives

Nowadays, there are only two reliable methods of contraception for men — vasectomy and a condom. It is quite possible that a third one will be available soon. Designer and inventor from Germany Rebecca Weiss (Rebecca Weiss) came up with a fundamentally new male contraceptive - a bath for testicles COSO.

It's no secret that men don't like to protect themselves too much. Most often, the responsibility for contraception lies with the woman. Doctors gave Rebecca Weiss a disappointing diagnosis. A woman has a precancerous condition in which hormonal drugs cannot be used.

This prompted Rebecca to take up the development of a contraceptive for men. According to the woman's plan, it was supposed to be effective, safe and reversible. In parallel with her work on the invention, Weiss wrote a dissertation about it at the Technical University in Munich.

The product created by a woman turned out to be so brilliant that it received the James Dyson Award in the field of industrial design and engineering design for 2021. The device is called COSO, and it uses a completely atypical principle of operation.

COSO is a miniature bath in which ordinary water is poured. After that, the man plunges his testicles into it and turns on the ultrasound. The ultrasonic waves generated by the device temporarily alter spermatogenesis, as a result of which the spermatozoa lose mobility. It takes 2 minutes for everything about everything, and COSO turns off automatically, having done its job.

The COSO bath has a long-lasting effect. First you need to apply it for two weeks, then only once every 2 months. While a man uses a contraceptive, he cannot conceive a child. But as soon as the device is no longer used, sperm motility is quickly restored. The baths can be of different sizes so that any man can choose a device taking into account his parameters.

Now Rebecca Weiss is looking for investors willing to finance clinical trials. Without this stage, the entry of the COSO device into the world market is impossible. The designer believes that her development is not just a revolutionary way of male contraception, but also a socially significant device. It can change the sex life of millions of people for the better.

Not so long ago, another "male" device was patented, designed to make life better. Testicuzzi scrotum Jacuzzi is a luxury that every man can afford.
