1. The house was built in 1790 in Maryland. Its total area is over 400 sq. meters. It is considered the oldest in Frederick County. Brick for its construction was brought from Baltimore, which is recorded in archival documents.
2. Before Sarah Brennan and Joe McKenna took over the renovation, there was a living room on the first floor. Now it has been converted into a spacious entrance hall.
3. Most of the things in the wife's house were bought at flea markets.

6. From the hallway you can get into a small living room, which Sarah calls the "morning room".
7. A familiar artist decorated the walls of the dining room with a landscape. This is what Maryland looked like two hundred years ago.

9. The interior of the kitchen has not changed much. Sarah and Joe replaced only two large crystal chandeliers, finding them too pretentious.
10. The brick wall in the kitchen and the dining room window are original.
11. In the hallway, a woodshed used to be equipped. Therefore, in winter it was possible to light a fireplace without going outside.
12. Three large French doors lead from the large living room to the terrace.
13. The second living room is attached to the east side of the house. This part of the house Joe considers his own.

15. On the second floor of the house there is a bedroom and two guest rooms.
16. Sarah found this chest of drawers at a flea market in Washington and covered it with blue lacquer.
17. When nephews come to the spouses, they live in the guest part of the house.
18. Sarah and Joe admit that the cost of the reconstruction turned out to be much higher than planned. However, they are not upset: the couple got the house they had dreamed of for many years.
