1. Foil.
If you have a radiator attached to the wall, and you probably do, place a sheet of tin foil behind the radiator. It will reflect heat from the wall and direct it into the room, which means the room will heat up faster and stay warm longer.
2. Change sheets.
Oh, the wonderful feeling of being in a warm bed. But during the cold months, your bed may not be as warm as you want because of the sheets. Buy yourself a flannel sheet, it will be thicker and warmer. This is exactly what you need for a cold spring.
3. Let the sunlight in.
When opening the curtains in the morning when the sun rises, let out the warm sunlight. This will help warm up the room. Close your curtains when the sun goes down to keep heat from escaping through your windows.
4. Cozy.
Rugs and rugs don't just look pretty, they can keep your home warm during the colder months. A rug can act as insulation and help keep your toes warm.
5. Eat warm food and drink hot drinks.
This is a well-known trick if you are cold to buy yourself a cup of tea or hot chocolate. Any hot drink will do, as well as hot soups or your favorite warm dishes.
6. Let there be candles.
Like rugs, candles don't just serve an aesthetic purpose. A lit candle is another source that can spread heat throughout a home and create a cozy atmosphere. Just what you need when it's cold outside.
7. Cook in the oven.
Cold months call for warm, hearty food. It's a really good idea to start baking. Not only will this make you feel warmer, as we mentioned, it can also warm up your apartment. After cooking, leave the oven open and kill 2 birds with one stone.
