5 video game adaptations that are not ashamed of
There are computer games that have found a new life, becoming the basis for a big movie. Let's recall other similar film adaptations that not only managed to convey the spirit of the original source, but also turned out to be interesting films in themselves.
Assassin's creed / Assassin's creed (2017)
Assassin's Creed was not played for the sake of mochilov or to tickle your nerves — there are contra, dota and a number of time-tested horror games for this. Assassin's Creed gave the opportunity to plunge headlong into exploring the whole world, in which there are warring orders of Templars and Assassins, traveling through the memory of the main character and much more that can knock out this boring reality. A movie based on the game, if you turn off the grumbling snob in yourself, also copes with this task perfectly.
This is a powerful spectacular movie that does not repeat the plots of the original Assassin's Creed series of games, but builds a new one, but with similar principles. It won't be difficult to figure out, and it's a real pleasure to watch Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons in one clip.
Resident evil / Resident evil
The first part of "Resident Evil", in which a young Milla Jovovich jumps around a gloomy laboratory, struck by a deadly virus, and fights off scientists who have turned into zombies — this is also a classic. The most meaty movie, which still gives you goosebumps.
Hitman / Hitman (2007)
And the plot of the film, like the game of the same name, is simple: Hitman is ordered to kill the president of Russia, he practically performs the task, but at the last moment something goes wrong…
Mortal kombat / Mortal kombat (1995)
Surprisingly, the film has become no less iconic and popular. Sub-zero, Scorpio, Sonya Blade — the heroes we played for (or supported in this movie) somehow they reflected our personality. And of course, a great soundtrack that we will all remember until old age. In general, an impeccable movie, no matter how you look at it.
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider / Lara Croft: Bomb raider (2001)
