12 art projects we admired in 2015
Indescribable beauty - this is the only way to characterize all this riot of fantasy, which was celebrated this year in different parts of the world. Probably, being in the center of events in the Museum of Washington or seeing with your own eyes the insanely colorful installations and sculptures of Japanese, British and Dutch creators is one of the most unforgettable and impressive events that can only happen in life.
Today we are sharing with you several art projects that we especially remember for their scale this year.

2. The National Building Museum in Washington DC hosts original installations every year. This year, the museum flooded an ocean of a million plastic balls, which has a beach for visitors to take a dip in this unusual pool. The plastic beach was furnished with mirrors, the purpose of which was to visually expand the space. (© phototelegraf)
3. Wire sculptures (© kendrahaste)
4. Kendra Heist is the best artist in the UK, and she works with a material that is very difficult for sculptors - galvanized wire and mesh from it. The curator of the Tower of London asked her to make 13 sculptures that would perfectly describe the history of the royal menagerie. Kendra approached this task with her soul and put maximum subtext into each of the animal sculptures, hoping to use them to show the essence of relations in society, as well as her personal attitude towards the former prisoners of the Tower. 6. As part of a large-scale exhibition in Tokyo, one of the artists created an interactive "floating" flower garden. More than 2,300 fresh flowers were used in this work, and they continued to bloom and grow. Interactivity lies in the fact that the flowers rose into the air as the viewer approached them. 8. It's hard to believe what British sculptor James Doran-Webb creates his incredible work from. As a result of many hours of his painstaking work, these real masterpieces are born from ordinary snags and brushwood, which amaze with their realism. (© jamesdoranwebb)

The Merchant Marines Monument is located in Cardiff, the capital of Wales. He appeared in 1994. The author of this unique monument is Brian Fell. If you approach the sculpture, on the one hand you can see the dissected hull of a merchant ship, and on the other hand, the face of a man. The model for the composition was the sculptor's wife. The monument is based on a circular mosaic square.

19. The installation with the “talking” name “Key in Hand” was created by Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota especially for the Venice Biennale – 2015. The artistic intention was to remind people about the connection of all things, about the unpredictable interweaving of human destinies and the importance of memories, which are stored in the heart of everyone. 21. This unusual work of art, located in Shenyang, was created by Bi Heng, a graduate of the sculpture department at the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts. The statue is a huge panda 9 meters high and 7 meters wide. The main idea of the sculptor quite clearly characterizes the symbol of oriental mysticism in the palm of the panda - Bi Hyun wanted to remind people that everything in the world is interconnected and that, striving for scientific and technological progress, we do not should neglect the care of nature. 23. This year, 19 teams of volunteers took part in the Holland Flower Festival, most of which were inspired by the works of the great Vincent van Gogh. The creators, as always, showed all their talent, and the spectacle turned out to be delightfully colorful. (© capelaeletrica)
