1. Sunset in the Sahara
The Sahara Desert - the third largest desert on the planet - occupies almost the entire southeastern part of Morocco. Depending on the tilt of the earth's axis, the Sahara desert can be both dry, as it is now, and wet. According to this theory, in about 15 thousand years it will turn into a flowering garden.
2. Camel caravan
Camel rides are a very popular activity in Morocco. Various agencies offer both short one-day outings and long trips with an overnight stay in the desert.
3. Goats on an argan tree
In the vicinity of the city of Essaouira, you can often see goats climbing on the branches of an argan tree. This area is the only one on the planet where these trees grow. Goats are the main assistant in the production of a valuable product: argan oil. Traditionally, the waste from fruits eaten and digested by goats was used to produce oil. Today, however, this oil is mainly produced industrially.
4. Countryside
This photo definitely does not evoke any associations with Morocco. But, nevertheless, it was made exactly there - or rather, in the Atlas region near the city of Ifrane at an altitude of 1665 meters above sea level. In winter, this place turns into a ski resort.
5. Blue
The city of Chefchaouen in northwestern Morocco is widely known for its sky blue houses. It is also a popular shopping destination thanks to the unique creations of local craftsmen and the excellent goat cheese. This town was founded in 1471.
6. Dades Gorge
This awesome road snakes down to the bottom of the Dades Gorge. The Dades River separates the Atlas Mountains and the Anti-Atlas Range, and its valley is home to hundreds of Berber "kasbahs", or fortresses.
7. Tanneries, Fes
Fez, a city founded in 789, is famous all over the world for its quality leather. In tanneries, the process of processing leathers takes place, during which the protein structures in them change.
8. Atlas Mountains
Thinking about Morocco, you can imagine anything - but not snow. However, when studying photographs of this country, from time to time one can come across pictures of tourist groups overcoming deep snow-covered trails. The Atlas mountain range stretches for two thousand kilometers along Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
9. Ait Ben Haddou
This kasbah (fortified city) has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. In the city, thanks to its flavor, many famous films were filmed - including The Mummy, Gladiator and Babylon.
10. Sunset in Skirat
Shkirat - a resort town south of Rabat - is famous for its beautiful beaches, and, as you can see in the photo, stunning sunsets.
