1. Sunset in the Sahara

Camel rides are a very popular activity in Morocco. Various agencies offer both short one-day outings and long trips with an overnight stay in the desert.

3. Goats on an argan tree

In the vicinity of the city of Essaouira, you can often see goats climbing on the branches of an argan tree. This area is the only one on the planet where these trees grow. Goats are the main assistant in the production of a valuable product: argan oil. Traditionally, the waste from fruits eaten and digested by goats was used to produce oil. Today, however, this oil is mainly produced industrially.

4. Countryside

This photo definitely does not evoke any associations with Morocco. But, nevertheless, it was made exactly there - or rather, in the Atlas region near the city of Ifrane at an altitude of 1665 meters above sea level. In winter, this place turns into a ski resort.

The city of Chefchaouen in northwestern Morocco is widely known for its sky blue houses. It is also a popular shopping destination thanks to the unique creations of local craftsmen and the excellent goat cheese. This town was founded in 1471.

This awesome road snakes down to the bottom of the Dades Gorge. The Dades River separates the Atlas Mountains and the Anti-Atlas Range, and its valley is home to hundreds of Berber "kasbahs", or fortresses.

Fez, a city founded in 789, is famous all over the world for its quality leather. In tanneries, the process of processing leathers takes place, during which the protein structures in them change.

8. Atlas Mountains

Thinking about Morocco, you can imagine anything - but not snow. However, when studying photographs of this country, from time to time one can come across pictures of tourist groups overcoming deep snow-covered trails. This kasbah (fortified city) has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. In the city, thanks to its flavor, many famous films were filmed - including The Mummy, Gladiator and Babylon.
