Today we want to introduce you to the work of the Belgian photo artist - Lara Gasparatto. She herself likes to compare her work with poetry or music. The main concept of filming is shooting the “highest note” of the emotional state in which the heroes of her shots are. Each of her pictures is a separate story, combining which into photo books, we get collections of emotions and beauty that live in the most ordinary and every day, surrounding us everywhere through the experienced sensations.
3. If we turn to the terms of theatrical art and cinema, then there is a concept - the "fourth wall", destroying which the director completely removes the boundary between the actor and the audience. As critics point out, in the works of Lara Gasparotto (Lara Gasparotto) this wall is absent from the very beginning. The deeper you dive into her photographs, the more you are drawn into the whirlpool of emotions and experiences of the heroes of this world. In Lara's works you will never see direct documentation of reality, penetrating into the very essence of things, the artist endows her photographic works with a special poetic meaning that can only be felt. Look at these cards. Agree that the artist in some incredible way manages to convey to us a sense of nostalgia for those moments that will never return. Now it's just melancholic memories.
6. “I like to capture the life around me. I become a witness to the atmosphere of our youth, beauty, and intimacy. I like the idea that my photo books will be found in the old library years later. I imagine taking it off the shelf, blowing the dust off the cover, opening it, and falling into the atmosphere of the youth of my time.”
10. Lara started taking pictures at the age of 14. The first camera (film) was given to her by her father's friend, photographer Thomas Cheybl. At first, her pictures were simple and uncomplicated, but gradually a whole poetic universe began to be born in her works. The pictures became deeper and deeper - they were a reflection of the inner growth and changes that the girl was going through.
13. Lara Gasparotto was born in 1989 in the city of Liege (Belgium) and spent her childhood in a small village nearby. Despite her young age, the girl's talent is recognized all over the world. The first publications in the media about her appeared in 2008, and since 2014 she has been a regular participant in major exhibitions and festivals.
