"Who is this Marilyn Monroe?" was the answer in LIFE magazine when they received these photos

"I sent some pictures to LIFE in New York, but they came back saying, 'Who the hell is this Marilyn Monroe?'" said Ed Clark.
No one at that time could even imagine what popularity Marilyn would achieve.
