We all have favorite sites, places to chat with like-minded people, gather useful information, learn the latest news and interesting and informative things. Good sites can become so familiar and easily recognizable, like an old friend.
Algerian artist Benchol Brahim (Brahim Bensehoul) from Naama has taken this concept and brought it to life, reviving some of the largest and most widely known sites in the way video game characters.
Following the popular formula of "rethinking", a fan of video games took the most notable features of the sites and create something unique but familiar. From narcissistic and highly addictive excess of Instagram to terribly Intrusive and influential chirping of the Twitter, Brahim perfectly summarizes the essence of each site, with both positive and negative point of view. Is there in his works hidden messages? According to the author, to decide that he leaves to the viewer.
