When and how these animals appeared on the island is still a mystery: either they were washed ashore as a result of a shipwreck, or the sailors deliberately released the pigs onto the island.
One way or another, now people come specifically to admire these cute pink piglets, who have developed the skill of swimming during their life on the island!
