The lion from the Chinese zoo became famous thanks to his bangs

A lion from the Guangzhou Zoo has become the new star of Chinese social networks. One of the zoo visitors posted a photo of the king of animals named Hang Hang on his Weibo account. The formidable predator did not look at all regal, even ridiculous. It was all the fault of the straight bangs that adorned his lush mane.

An argument immediately broke out in the comments under the post. Someone claimed that the lion was specially cut for the sake of a joke, and someone that the animal was sick. But neither of them were right. When the photos went viral, zookeepers commented on them.

The workers who took care of the lion said that the weather was to blame for everything. On the day the photo was taken, it was 32 degrees of heat and 89 percent humidity outside. Because of this, Hang's mane straightened and the beast became ridiculous. This phenomenon, though rare, is quite normal. However, the scientific explanation did not affect the popularity of the lion with bangs in any way. The repost of the photo was even made in the official group of the zoo.

And it's really worth hurrying. No one knows how long the effect of straightened wool will last. The lion's mane can return to its natural state any day and no one knows whether this unusual phenomenon will happen again.
