Year ago 24-year-old Justin Fernandez (Justin Fernandes) got in a serious accident — he crossed the road and got hit by a speeding motorcycle. The guy survived, but doctors were unable to save his right fractured leg and it had to be amputated below the knee. After discharge from the hospital, Justin suddenly realized that he didn't want to part with the limb, let it no longer one with him.

Many wanted to help the guy, but didn't know how to do it — no one in the practice had no such orders. But Justin still got lucky and found that people who are able to help out, are very close — in the centre of the natural history of Toronto. Museum are stuffed representatives of the North American fauna, had its own staff of specialists in the field of taxidermy and they could realize the dream of Justin's life.

A team of specialists from the Center for natural science undertook to help the guy for free, even though the work they were quite expensive. But as it turned out, the goodwill of taxidermy and the desire of the owner of the feet is not sufficient for successful completion of the operation. Hospital, where he kept an amputated leg, still didn't want to part with it — the administration relied on the absence of institutionalized procedures, that the restrictions adopted by the pandemic.

The leg, which had been subjected to in the clinic, a deep freeze, carefully cleaned from muscles and cartilage, and then treated with hydrogen peroxide. After these manipulations the bones were white, and the "exhibit" was no longer caused horror and disgust even to an unprepared audience. So, after more than a year after the breakup, Justin Fernandez was reunited with his foot right at Christmas.

It remains to mention that not everyone shared the enthusiasm of the guy — his family and friends desire to get the skeleton of the legs on the stand seemed not to be healthy. But Justin has no regrets and was completely happy with her Christmas present.
