A resident of China had to pay with her own health for her love of coffee. This invigorating and fragrant drink led to the fact that 30-year-old Han Xiao from Wuhan "turned" into a 60-year-old old woman.

Read about how coffee knocked down a young girl and about the dangers of this drink from a scientific point of view in our material.

Chinese Han Xiao, like many others, until recently loved to start her morning with a cup of fragrant coffee. After that, the girl went to the office, where she drank another 7-10 cups of invigorating drink throughout the day.

Han Xiao knew that coffee in large quantities could be harmful, but to do so... one day the girl began to have a strong cough, which she, of course, blamed on a cold.

Once a coughing fit tormented her for about ten minutes, then she felt pain in her chest, and when she felt better, she went to bed.

When she woke up in the morning, Han Xiao immediately went to the hospital, because she had unpleasant sensations in the lung area all night. Doctors took an X-ray and found out that the girl had three broken ribs. A detailed examination showed that the fractures occurred due to a strong cough. Such fragility of the patient's bones worried the doctors, so they decided to carry out several more procedures.

Han Xiao underwent densitometry, an analysis that helps determine bone mineral density. The results of the study showed that the bones of a 30-year-old girl in their condition are almost the same as those of older people. According to doctors, in the near future, Xiao should prepare for the development of osteoporosis — a serious disease of the musculoskeletal system, which is usually found in the elderly.

Experts decided to find out what led to the destruction of tissue density, and were shocked when Khan told how much coffee she drinks every day. According to doctors, regular consumption of caffeine can accelerate the development of osteoporosis. However, as well as other negative factors: alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, sugary carbonated drinks, unhealthy lifestyle and so on.

Scientists cannot yet agree on the effect of coffee on human bone density. Rheumatologist Rochelle Rozian is convinced that carbonated drinks and drinks containing caffeine lead to their "aging". At the same time, the head of the Center for the Study of Osteoporosis states that no connection has been found between drinking coffee and bone fragility.

Professor Connie Weaver believes that the more coffee a person drinks, the more calcium is excreted from the body along with urine. But only those "coffee drinkers" who already have a calcium deficiency in the body need to worry about this.
