More than 200 raccoons have already passed through Maxine's caring hands, but she was preparing for the worst. Everyone said that this albino raccoon is very aggressive, because she was rescued from the hands of bad owners.
Maxine Baird was asked if she could take this animal to her.
Baird has already raised more than 200 small raccoons, but she expected that the "aggressive" raccoon would be the most uncontrollable.
However, when the raccoon was brought to the new shelter, she did not look threatening. She was sad, scared and sick.
"She was covered in feces and urine — to such an extent that she had urine burns on her ass and stomach," says Maxine.
The raccoon also had horrific ulcers on the pads of its paws.
One day, this happened. "I was going through some bad moments in my life... I went out there and sat down next to her."
"She came close to me and put her little paws in my hand."
"Since then, she's been the cutest raccoon in the world… We have a really strong bond."
Now the grateful rescued raccoon is constantly hugging and kissing her new mother and other raccoon neighbors at the shelter.
Nevertheless, Maxine Baird reminds that raccoons are not pets and should live in the wild. So the albino raccoon will have to live in the yard with other raccoons.
