Stop looking for excuses, start helping

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/stop-looking-for-excuses-start-helping.htmlHow many words have been said about help. Countless attempts, petitions and projects that are aimed at ensuring that our younger brothers receive the proper care and support. We don't want stray cats or dogs running around on playgrounds or on the street, simply because we rightly love ourselves and our children more than animals. So it happened.

That's why we came up with shelters where animals are taken from the streets. And from the moment when a non-domestic animal crosses the threshold of the aviary, it seems to us that the mission is accomplished: cats and dogs will be fed, watered and cured of all ailments in the world in a completely miraculous way. We do not think at all about the conditions that need to be created, about the amounts that are spent to ensure that animals live in one shelter at least without fleas and ticks. Not to mention other medical care.
Unfortunately, government funding does not always cope well with the maintenance of shelters. And private enterprises and charitable foundations, as a rule, do not have the opportunity to pull everything on themselves. But we continue to be touched by cats and dogs on social networks, feel sorry for animals on the street and repost a huge number of entries asking for help. Reposted, "helped", ticked.
And we have a whole set of first—class excuses for any objection, the most popular of which is "no time". And it is true that in order to provide effective assistance, not only the desire and finances are required, but also the opportunity to spend several hours a week on real things. And until today, this excuse has worked perfectly: there is no time, and nothing can be done about it.
The founder of the TEDDY FOOD project Pavel Kotosov really loves animals. He doesn't hope that a Facebook repost will really help at least one animal in need. But he is sure that if you make the process of helping homeless animals convenient for people, they will gladly respond.
TEDDY FOOD is an online platform where you can pay for food, care, medical care for an animal from a shelter and monitor the implementation of everything in real time. Special cameras have been installed in the shelters participating in the project, which broadcast the life of the pet you have chosen for guardianship around the clock. For a good deed, you accumulate points that can be spent on an animal and will soon have service partners.
Each participant has a profile on the same site, where you can see how well-groomed the animal is, as well as all its medical indications.
The service is new, like any charity startup, it is breaking forward, but it is unlikely to survive without crowdfunding. Therefore, the guys launched a fundraiser on the "Boomstarter". All the funds received will go to the technical supply of new shelters so that TEDDY FOOD can replenish the project with pets from other cities and improve the service itself.
Everything is transparent here — you don't need to go anywhere, you don't need to waste hours of your time, but at the same time you can not strangle your conscience. In a couple of clicks, you will take part in the development of a really good charity project. The only question is, are you really ready to help?
