There is a lot of talk about the dangers of fast food today. And although there are people who courageously eat only burgers, most of us tend to believe that patties in dough and hot dogs are slow killers. This confidence is fueled by all sorts of studies, for example, such as recently conducted at the University of Michigan. They calculated how much these or other dubious dishes shorten human life.

Specialists of the University of Michigan, USA, studied 6 thousand different dishes and found out how much life each of them takes away from us. The task was quite difficult, so we had to create a separate standardized mathematical system for it.

Researchers have determined that 1 gram of sausage products shortens our earthly journey by 27 seconds. A bacon sandwich does much more damage, taking as much as 26 minutes, and a cheeseburger takes 8.8 minutes. A half-liter glass of Cola steals 12.5 minutes from a person. Even such a seemingly useful product as cheese takes away precious minutes of our life.

But most of all, the damage from the most ordinary hot dog strikes the imagination. If you ordered a sausage in the dough and ordered the seller to "put everything down", then this bomb of sausage, bread, mayonnaise and ketchup will take you as much as 36 minutes! Estimate the number of rolls with sausage you have already eaten in your life and be horrified by your craving for self-destruction!

But not everything is so hopeless and we can restore the lost years. It turned out that there are products that prolong life. A serving of nuts can neutralize a recently eaten bacon sandwich, as it adds 26 minutes. A sandwich, but with natural peanut paste, can extend the life by 33 minutes, and a portion of salmon - by 13.5 minutes. Among the products that help to become a long-lived person, it is worth mentioning beans, green tea, fruits and vegetables
