A woman who killed a pedophile who lived next door spent four years behind bars and was recently released. For the first time, she told about why she decided to brutally deal with a pervert. It turned out that her son was one of the victims of the pervert. The British woman does not regret what she did and wants her story to help others avoid the nightmare that their family had to go through. Read the story about the mother's revenge further in our material.
Sarah Sands received a 7.5-year prison sentence for the murder of 77-year-old Michael Pleasted. In 2015, during a court hearing, it turned out that this man had committed 24 sexual crimes over a period of 30 years. The woman spent four years behind bars.
Now the 38-year-old mother of five children has been released. For the first time, she openly told why she decided to kill a pedophile neighbor. It turned out that the pervert also mocked her son. The woman says that she does not regret what she did and does not consider herself a murderer: she was just protecting her children.
Sarah stabbed a pensioner, coming to his house. At first, she tried to convince Plisted to confess to the crimes and surrender to the police, but he refused. Then, in a fit of anger, the British woman took out a knife that she had brought with her, and inflicted fatal blows on the pedophile.
Before that, the woman repeatedly appealed to the police, social services and local authorities. She reported that her neighbor was a pedophile rapist, but no one believed her. Later it turned out that Plisted changed his name so that others would not find out about the terrible crimes committed by him earlier.
In February 2014, a neighbor offered Bradley, Sarah's 12-year-old son, a part-time job in a store. At first, the mother did not suspect anything wrong. Soon the teenager refused to go to work, and two weeks later the British woman learned that Plisteda was suspected of molesting two minors. The woman knew those boys and had no doubt that they were telling the truth. Her son said that the pervert did not harm him when he gave evidence to the police. The pedophile was found not guilty and released on bail.
Sarah was worried about her children, contacted the police, but they advised her to move, saying that they could not evict Plisted. Appeals to the social service did not help either.
In November 2014, Bradley confessed to his mother that a neighbor had raped him. The pedophile attacked him in the store, and then again, at his home. Now the guy is 19 years old, and he does not hide the truth. The young man wants to prevent what he had to go through from happening to others. At first, he was afraid to talk about the acts of violence, but eventually he told his mother everything. Sarah immediately appealed to the police with a request to arrest Plisted, but they did nothing. The rapist continued to walk free.
Sarah decided to take matters into her own hands. She drank two bottles of wine for courage and went to the old apartment next to the pedophile's house, from which she moved out after learning about the atrocities of Plisted. The British woman took a knife and went to the hated neighbor. After an argument, the woman stabbed him eight times. The CCTV footage shows her leaving the building with a knife in her hand.
In September 2015, Sarah was accused of manslaughter due to loss of control over herself. During the court hearings, it turned out that Plisted raped children between 1971 and 1990. He changed his real name – Robin Mult - and disappeared from the sight of the authorities. The British woman did not know these details before she went to prison. The judge recognized the case as exceptional, sided with the woman and took into account the fact that the accused is a single mother. As a result, the sentence was reduced from 7 to 3.5 years. In 2016, the sentence was doubled, because the Court of Appeal found the sentence unreasonably lenient.
In total, the British woman spent four years behind bars. All this time, her children lived with their grandmother, they regularly visited and supported their mother. Sarah says that she was treated well and with understanding in prison. Many victims of violence wrote to her on social networks and said that she did the right thing. In April 2018, the woman was reunited with her family and started life from scratch.
Now, when teenagers spend most of their free time on the Internet, the world Wide web can become a real trap for many of them. Three women, like Sarah, decided to tell bitter stories about how they themselves and their children suffered from online pedophiles in order to warn others against the tragedy.
