The American artist decided to create a sculpture that would combine volume and lightness. The result was a stunning spherical structure, which was installed on the main square of the city of Charlotte in North Carolina.
Take a look at this stunning, weightless work of art.Artist Marc Fornes has created a modern sculpture, which he called "Dream Pillows". It was installed on Woodard Square in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The cloud-like structure has a light structure, although it consists of 3564 parts. It seems as if it is filled with air, but in fact its volumes are securely fixed with the help of ultra-thin aluminum plates. Like a balloon inflated from chewing gum, which is about to burst, the plates thin out and become more open across the space of the spheres through which the sun's rays penetrate.
Three-dimensional works of art made from a large number of small elements look amazing. The British sculptor uses thousands of small seashells to create large compositions that amaze with their lightness and beauty.
