Photographer Sarah Bahba - honestly about relationships, eroticism and body positivity

The author is not afraid to be frank and does not shy away from eroticism — many of Sarah's works shock the viewer with their openness. 

Sarah Bahba was born and raised in Australia, in a family of migrants from Palestine. Even as a child, Sarah felt a craving for visual art — she drew and photographed, boldly experimenting with styles and directions. After graduating from high school, she went to college, where she studied creative advertising.

As a professional, Bahba declared herself in her first year. The girl started filming music festivals such as Firefly. Photos and videos of Sarah from major musical events were popular with the public, but did not make her famous. The first serious vocation for an Australian woman came after the provocative photo project "Takeaway Sex".

Sarah became in demand as a photographer, doing portraits and photo shoots, as well as shooting for youth magazines. In parallel, the photographer developed as a blogger. In 2016, Elite Daily recognized her as the best instablogger of the year. It is not without criticism — many consider the works of Sara Bahba excessively erotic and even pornographic.

One of the biggest scandals in the artist's career occurred in Sydney. Sarah was invited as a designer and photographer to design the restaurant and create its website. The business owners were delighted with the result of the artist's work. But some critics, visitors and netizens did not appreciate the project.

It seemed to them that naked women in the dining area and on the website of an institution offering fried chicken were too provocative and even vulgar. A whole campaign against the artist has unfolded online. Perhaps for another master it would be a blow to his reputation, but not for Sarah. Thanks to the hype, she became even more popular, and her income skyrocketed.

In Sarah's works, people are not just sitters. They are direct participants of the action, charging it with emotions and dynamics. Everything that Bahba does is interesting and unusual, so she is highly appreciated in the world of art and advertising. Now the artist has a huge authority among colleagues and a huge audience of fans.

Bahba's skill was highly appreciated by such brands as Gucci, Condé Nast, GQ, Sony Music and Capitol Record. She is also invited to work on music videos. One of Sarah's latest projects was a music video by Kygo for the song "Think About You".

Many photos of Sarah Bahba are frank, but only those who are poorly oriented in modern photography and are not familiar with the works of Dani Lessnau can call them provocative.
