One of the main reasons for this is quarantine, which many were finally able to be alone with your loved one. It works not only in humans but also in animals, who are imprisoned in captivity for the amusement of the audience.
Hong Kong Ocean Park, popular with residents and visitors to the city were closed due to quarantine recently. Such silence in this huge city of entertainment was not, perhaps, since its opening in 1977. This took the Panda from the zoo that had mated for the first time in 10 years.
Giant pandas Ying Ying and Le Le are in the same cage for many years, but, in addition to games, food and sleep they are not interested in anything. Zookeepers noticed changes in the behavior of these cute animals immediately after entering the quarantine.
As soon as crowds of visitors stopped to besiege the enclosure with the bears, Ying Ying started to show her unusual interest in the games in the water. At the same time, her neighbor Le Le anxiously walked in circles, sniffing and often methyl territory.
Zoologists Park know that such behavior is peculiar to giant pandas during the mating period, which is ongoing in nature from March to may. But they even could not dream that their Pets will be something serious.
The fact that pandas are very capricious in breeding animals in captivity to obtain offspring from them is incredibly difficult. Breeding animals in zoos is generally accomplished by artificial insemination, but the chance of success is low.
It is quite another mating pandas, which gives the greatest hope for the continuation of the species. So there are all prerequisites to believe that the couple will get a baby. However, just about this will be available not before June.
The birth of a baby of the giant Panda, in nature or in captivity is always a joyful event. These cute animals are on the verge of extinction and WWF experts say that in Chinese forests, now found only in 1864 specimens.
