In the late 80s and 90s, such formats of programs that were interesting not only for adults, but also for teenagers and young people finally appeared on television. The niche that existed between children's and very adult and serious programs was filled, charismatic presenters showed that they understood the problems and interests of young people.

We remembered the programs that it was a pity to miss, although some of them were shown in a completely non-childish time.

The idea of the program came from then-student of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University Sergey Suponev. It became his thesis. Each issue included 15 stories on completely different topics that worried young people. At the same time, the presenters were not afraid to raise "forbidden", uncomfortable questions, they were very spontaneous and frank.

In the program "Marathon-15", contrasting presenters were specially selected so that Sergei Suponev in the frame could "offend" the slightly shy Zhora Galustyan with impunity. The image of Sergei was made self-confident and harsh. The program managers recalled that the guys admired Sergei, adored Zhora and trusted him. Later, Lesya Basheva joined the hosts, who became the idol of the girls.

In addition to the topical stories themselves, the program played out the relationship between the presenters in accordance with their on-screen characters. And these eyeliners were almost always improvisation. Popular people often flashed in the program. And once, an unknown young Sergei Bodrov appeared in it. He hosted a sports issue.

The mysterious appearance of Ivan Demidov raised many questions. The audience wondered why the presenter did not take off his glasses. The thing is that he was sure that such a style creates an image of an" impersonal " presenter, which does not affect the opinion of the audience. Although he conducted interviews with different performers and tried to ask such questions that revealed the personality of each as much as possible.

In his program, he combined all the existing music trends at that time, there was no strict division into pop and rock groups and performers. Demidov also managed to include hits of foreign artists in the program. And it all fit into a half-hour interval. Many viewers loved the program precisely for its "trendiness": all the stars who were just becoming famous visited the program.

The program is closely associated with the 90s, but its first release was released in 1983. It existed for 18 years, and, of course, the format changed according to the time. It was in it that such topics as street children, the rocker movement, drug addiction, hazing in the army, street groups, subcultures, that is, what they usually preferred to hush up, came out of the shadows for the first time. All the new music also very quickly fell into the lens of the creators. There were also really tragic events on the air. For example, in one of the issues there was a report about a rural school where the management brought a student to suicide. The issue dedicated to motorcycle rockers caused a big scandal. After that, the program was flooded with letters demanding to stop advertising a dangerous hobby and curb teenagers.

Then there were thematic headings that grew into separate projects. Problems of youth in business — "RAP", youth subcultures — "Tin-tonic", music — " Jam "and" Rock lesson", intimate topics — "Tete-a-tete".

To embody the idea of a kind of offshoot of the program " What? Where? When?" Vladimir Voroshilov succeeded in 1990. The competitive aspect, energy — for such a program, a presenter with an expressive character, Andrey Kozlov, one of the experts, was selected. Young and promising teams from different cities came to the shooting. The program became so popular that it was filmed in other countries according to the franchise, teams of players appeared in schools, technical schools and universities.

This program was intended as an advertising program, but it became very popular. Back then, the LEGO constructor was a rare bird on the shelves of stores, and it was inaccessible to many children. But it was interesting to watch the competitions of bright children's teams under the leadership of the host Fyodor Stukov (the actor who played Tom Sawyer as a child).

The guys worked with small and huge parts of the constructor, and the winners received a trip to Legoland.

"Morning Star" was created in order to give young talents an opportunity to break through to the stage. And indeed, many of today's stars performed for the first time on the air of this program. For example, Pelageya, Ani Lorak, Sergey Lazarev, Angelika Varum, Valeria and many others. All the contestants were divided into 4 categories: by age (from 3 to 15 years and from 15 to 22 years) and by the direction of creativity (vocal or dance). Yuri Nikolaev himself conducted the program together with the young presenters. The contestants were evaluated by a jury of 4 people, giving all points that allow them to pass to the next round.

The program was very popular, but still it was often criticized for the fact that the songs sung by young contestants were not modern and not too "youth".

This program is easy to remember from a memorable screensaver: a mother-lamp and a daughter-lamp play ball. It is interesting that it was taken from the early work of the Pixar studio "Luxo Junior", on which the music of Evgeny Krylatov from the film"Guest from the Future" is superimposed. The program was educational in nature, but presented the material in an attractive and new form of play for that time, so children liked it.

It was within the framework of the "Children's Hour" that the series of the cartoon "Superbook" with biblical stories were shown. Also, young viewers were taught foreign languages with the help of animated series-English, French and German, they were taught to cook simple dishes.

The first host of the program was the showman Sergey Minaev, whose charisma initially kept the ratings. He also came up with and recorded a screensaver with the famous melody "Fifty-fifty". According to the idea, the program was supposed to cover pop culture news and new songs, interviews of stars and the work of aspiring artists.

Some performers came to the program as co-hosts for one issue. But at first, only Minaev remained a regular participant in the program. However, he did not work in the" 50×50 " for too long. At various times, the hosts of the program were Alexey Veselkin, Ksenia Strizh and Nikolai Fomenko.

The popular humorous program has become to some extent a prototype of modern stand-ups. The presenters-comedians Igor Ugolnikov, Sergey Denisov and Alexey Kortnev-joked primarily on topics that worried everyone. Often their humor was bitter, but it never fell "below the baseboard", the era of jokes on intimate topics on television was just coming. For example, the scene "Funeral of food" against the background of empty counters in the 90s became very popular.

The format of the program did not imply the interest of the youth audience, because the problems that were covered in it concerned more mature people — family, relationships, children. Both professional psychologists, actors, musicians, and so on participated. The conversations usually took place in the studio, in an improvised large kitchen. But the idea itself was new and therefore aroused everyone's interest. What was only worth the heading "The Mask of Revelation", where the narrator hid under a special mask, describing his problem and listening to the opinions of psychologists.

The host Valery Komissarov explained the success of the program by the fact that it discussed the eternal problems of relations between people, the interest in which never weakens.
