If the worst fears are confirmed, it will be the most serious blow to Russian sports in history. But there is one plus: then the world will not see our new uniform, sewn by Zasport, the official outfitter of the team.
The presentation of the uniform, as well as the accompanying casual collection, took place today in Moscow. The equipment set for each athlete includes 72 items: from tracksuits, jackets and swimsuits (it is not very clear why they are at the Winter Olympics) to dress trousers, shirts and ties.
The press release says that the design team was inspired by architecture, space and constructivism when creating a new Russian image. Space is not particularly visible, but there is a lot of faceless Soviet constructivism. From the presentation, however, no one understood what kind of clothes the national team will go to the opening parade (if it goes).
Some outfits from the casual collection caused a violent explosion of humor in social networks.

It should be mentioned that the owner of the company Zasport, which won the tender in early 2017, is Anastasia Zadorina, the daughter of Colonel-General of the FSB and president of the Dynamo sports club Mikhail Shekin. She is known mainly as the author of a series of patriotic T-shirts with prints like "Don't make our Iskanders laugh" and "Poplar is not afraid of sanctions."
