Looking forward to the International Bartender's Day: 7 most killer cocktails

Categories: Holidays and Festivals

The International Bartender's Day is celebrated on February 6. It just so happens that this year it falls on a Tuesday. So this is the case when the holiday can be celebrated in advance. Otherwise, the festivities on the occasion of the Bartender's Day will turn into the Day of an incapacitated employee or the Day of a student skipping.

So, seven fire-breathing cocktails, with which any holiday will not be boring. But we warn you right away: if you are not a very experienced drinker, then it's better to read about a dog that pretends to be a platypus.

1. "Depth charge"

Take a couple of sips from a glass of beer and drown 50 grams of vodka or whiskey at the bottom along with a stopper. Abruptly drink in one gulp so that the glass hits the teeth well. A cocktail is usually used as a "quick start", but with insufficient dexterity of the body, a "Depth bomb" can also play the role of a quick finish. A more refined, but less common option is absinthe instead of vodka.

2. "Ruff"

Unlike the "Depth Charge", we mix beer and vodka in equal proportions and drink without unnecessary tricks. Before the appearance of the infamous Jaguar swill, this cocktail held a leading position in popularity at youth parties. "Ruff" has a number of varieties: "Smoked ruff" (instead of a simple beer — stout or porter), "Irish ruff" (whiskey plus "Guinness"), "Hunting ruff" (beer plus "Egermeister").

3. "Zhzhenka"

But we're all talking about beer and vodka. Real Hussars don't drink beer, real hussars drink burnt. An old recipe: in a bucket with ice, where there was just a bottle of champagne, pour rum and, in fact, champagne in equal proportions. From above, we strengthen the sieve and the "sugar loaf" (you may not have a cast sugar lump, then you can pile refined sugar). Pour rum on the "head" and set it on fire. When all the sugar melts and flows down, gently shake the contents of the bucket and drink.

4. "The Dead Mexican"

Measure 200-250 milliliters of light beer and 50 of vodka. Mix the drinks in one bowl and add 10-20 drops of hot tabasco sauce to the same place. If desired, you can also pepper it. Mix thoroughly and add salt. Immediately after you see the funny gaziki, drink to the bottom.

5. "Brain hemorrhage"

The most picturesque cocktail. Pour the whiskey into the Baileys and polish the surface with tomato juice or grenadine. There is no need to stir, everything will happen by itself. You will get a white curled mass floating in transparent whiskey, with red special effects.

6. "The Lights of Kandahar"

And again about vodka and beer, but more exquisitely. In a saucepan, mix half a liter of vodka and the same amount of beer, put on fire and bring to a boil. Now we pour six tablespoons of instant coffee and, if desired, ground cinnamon. We pour it into a thermos and take it with us to the skating rink instead of boring mulled wine.

7. "Grog"

And finally, the highlight of tonight. The recipe for this killer drink, which definitely should not be abused, was described by the Soviet historian William Pokhlebkin in his canonical work "Tea, its history, properties and use". "Grog" (not to be confused with grog — rum heavily diluted with water and sugar) was invented by English sailors to quickly warm up the body with a cold. First of all, boil a couple of glasses of water, then pour in the same amount of vodka and pour 200 grams of sugar. We cook this mixture for five minutes. Now we brew 50 grams of pickled leaf tea in 700-800 milliliters of the resulting liquid. We let it brew and drink it under the supervision of a medical student.
