Last supermoon this year
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/last-supermoon-this-yearOn the night of September 9, the inhabitants of the Earth were able to observe the third and last supermoon this year. This astronomical phenomenon occurs when the full moon or new moon coincides with the moment of closest approach of the Moon and the Earth. At this time, the Moon visually appears larger and brighter than usual. This time, the moment of closest approach of the Moon and the Earth coincided with the last full moon before the day of the autumn equinox, after which astronomical autumn will come for the inhabitants of the Northern Hemisphere. Usually, a supermoon occurs once every six months, but in 2014 this phenomenon has already happened twice - on July 12 and August 10.
We suggest you look at a small selection of photographs of this colorful astronomical phenomenon.
