Lacoste's joint action with the International Union for Conservation of Nature should help save ten endangered species of animals. The number of shirts with this or that image will correspond to the number of representatives of this species in the wild.
The brand's cooperation with the IUCN will last three years, and during this time 1,775 shirts will be produced at a price of $ 183 (approximately 10,370 rubles). The proceeds will be donated to an organization that helps protect endangered species of animals.
Among the ten rare species that will replace the crocodile on the logo are Javan rhinoceros (67 individuals), Burmese roof turtle (40 individuals), California condor (231), Sumatran tiger (350), northern thin—bodied lemur (50), eastern black crested gibbon (150), owl parrot (157), saola (250), Virginia cyclura (450) and California porpoise (30 individuals).
The collection was presented at the Lacoste show during Paris Fashion Week, items from it can be bought on the brand's French website. Limited edition polo shirts are sold only in the brand's flagship stores in Europe and the USA.
