Despite Depp's accusations against TMG of illegally using his funds, company representatives claim that in fact, for the past 17 years they have been doing everything possible to save Johnny's fortune from himself, but they have not been able to force the star to make more reasonable financial decisions. The first item on Johnny Depp's list of expenses is real estate, for the purchase, renovation and furniture for which the actor spent about $ 75 million. Depp's 14 residences around the world include a chateau in the south of France with 45 acres of land worth $13.5 million, several islands in the Bahamas, houses in Hollywood and penthouse lofts in downtown Los Angeles, as well as a horse farm in Kentucky. Each of the houses is fully staffed.

Depp's car collection consists of 45 expensive cars, on which an unknown number of millions were spent. In fairness, it should be noted that, for example, Johnny did not spend a penny on this luxurious 1959 Chevrolet Corvette. The car that participated in the filming of the film "Rum Diary" was presented to him by the film producer Graham King as a thank you to "the man who has everything."

$18 million was spent on this gorgeous 47-meter yacht, plus another 6 for its modernization and design in 2008. However, it is difficult to blame Johnny for excessive extravagance, because in 2016 the yacht was already sold for more than 27 million — who would you think? — no less famous creator of "Harry Potter" J. According to TMG, Depp spent numerous millions on the purchase of rare and, of course, very expensive collectibles belonging to Hollywood stars of even greater magnitude than Johnny himself — such as Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando. To store this impressive collection, he needs 12 storage rooms.

Special attention should be paid to the actor's art collection, which includes more than 200 works, including such giants of modern art as Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat. This Basquiat self-portrait alone was sold in June 2016 at Christie's auction for $4.7 million. A total of eight works belonging to Depp were put up for sale. However, according to Johnny, "nothing can replace the warmth and spontaneity of Basquiat's poetry."

TMG claims that over the years Depp has spent about $10 million to support friends, family members and some employees. This amount includes expenses for the maintenance of the actor's sister and now deceased mother. Johnny bought his mother a house in Hollywood for several million dollars and paid $35,000 a month to care for her during her illness. In addition, Depp sponsored his childhood friend's budding music label. It cost him $4 million and never generated any income.
