Categories: Animals | Asia

As a result of the accident that occurred at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant in 2011, nearby areas were contaminated and the population was hastily evacuated from the dangerous area. People were forced to leave everything here, including livestock and domestic animals. Left without food, the animals were doomed to starvation.

But one Japanese man, 55-year-old Naoto Matsumura, returned to the exclusion zone to feed the abandoned animals. He realizes that every day he receives a huge dose of radiation, but this does not bother him much. With the help of volunteers who send money, he provides food for dogs, cats, cows and many other animals left in the infected area. Naoto Matsumura is one of the few who dared to live in the restricted area of Fukushima.
