In pubs and libraries in Britain, they began using a spray against drug addicts

Drug addiction is one of the scourges of modern society. A person who uses prohibited substances in public is doubly dangerous, since he is dangerous to others and promotes evil. Therefore, the British police began to actively fight against those who like to "cheer up" themselves with a dose of cocaine. But for this, law enforcement officers chose an unusual method — chemical.

Blokit spray is an aerosol in cylinders that neutralizes the effect of cocaine. Simply put, coming into contact with this substance, it deprives it of flowability. The powder just sticks to the surface tightly. The preparation consists of a mixture of resins and surfactants that is safe for humans. The manufacturer actively advertises its product and convinces everyone of its high efficiency.

Police officers from drug enforcement departments handle Blokit smooth surfaces in public places. Spray is applied to bar counters, billiard tables, handrails and even changing tables and toilets. The substance is applied to any smooth surfaces that can be used to create "tracks" from cocaine.

Durham police officers walked with specially trained dogs through the pubs of Darlington, in the north-east of the UK. They calculated 24 pubs where traces of cocaine use remained. All the smooth planes there were filled with anti-cocaine spray to "break the buzz" for local drug addicts.

Law enforcement officers did not save money and poured tables and toilets from the heart. Local authorities also purchased 60 spray cans, sparing 650 pounds (63.5 thousand rubles). They were distributed to the owners of bars and billiard rooms, as well as to the directors of libraries. Now processing is regularly carried out in these institutions, and warning posters hang in prominent places. "Blokit anti-drug spray is used in these premises," read the inscriptions, which cause bewilderment among inexperienced citizens.

One could say that vice has been defeated. The manufacturer of the wonderful drug, Millwood company, claims that its spray is the most effective. They treat 600 premises in different parts of Britain, which reduces cocaine consumption by 80 percent. But independent experts do not advise to trust the company.

They say Millwood's statistics are based on reviews from establishment owners, not research. In addition, knowledgeable people believe that the spray manufacturer has outdated data on how to use cocaine. Perhaps they have read descriptions of the life of Victorian bohemians, but now the powder is rarely "sniffed" from the countertops. As for the spray treatment of toilet bowls, any comments are unnecessary here at all.

It is much easier and safer for a modern lover of high to use personal belongings to satisfy his passion. Everyone has credit cards, a smartphone or, at worst, keys to an apartment or car. Pharmacist Guy Jones from the Department of drug safety commented on the use of the spray as follows:

I must say that before the spray, the police fought against the use of cocaine with the help of... vaseline or lubricant. This method was soon banned, as it was considered dangerous for health. Also, in order to prevent drug addicts from using powder, some owners removed smooth surfaces from bars.

At one time, radical measures were in fashion — special "cocaine bouncers" hung around in the toilets of pubs and cafes. These were employees whose sole responsibility was to stop drug use. Some thugs were armed with "cocaine flashlights", the ultraviolet light of which helped to detect traces of cocaine.
