In Belarus, "tanks" flew

Wargaming and Belavia Airlines decided that the days when Belarus was known exclusively as a potato country have passed. To promote the image of their homeland, two brands joined forces: the airline provided an airplane, and the creators of the most popular online game in the CIS painted it in the livery of World of Tanks.

Repainting an aircraft in a unique livery is quite a rare phenomenon. For Belavia Airlines, as well as for World of Tanks, this is the first project of this kind.

The layout of the aircraft is made in the corporate colors of the World of Tanks brand. Planes in black livery are rare, they look unusual and interesting. The tank — a key element of the game — is made in the form of an ornament, which emphasizes belonging to the country where the game was developed. This is also evidenced by the elements of the ornament throughout the aircraft.

The main idea of the branded livery is to show that the game, known all over the world, comes from Belarus.

In the process of applying the livery layout to the aircraft, 300 liters of paint and 450 square meters of stencils were used. 13 specialists were involved in the painting, and the process itself took 1800 man-hours. The painting of the aircraft was carried out around the clock in the painting hangar in Ostrava.

The aircraft in the bright livery of World of Tanks will be operated for two years on all lines of the route network of the airline "Belavia". The first commercial flight of the branded aircraft on the Minsk — Moscow — Minsk route has already taken place.
