"I consider myself a freak": an unusual model Nadia Lertulo, who works at a construction site

A few years ago, only a select few who met the strict standards of the fashion industry could get into the world of modeling. Today everything has changed - independent agencies are actively looking for models among people of very different looks. Model Nadezhda Lertulo has been cooperating with the Lumpen agency for more than one year, combining shows and photo shoots with the work of... a construction master.

Nadia Lertulo's portfolio includes participation in the Vetements show, shooting for Elle Russia, Flacon Magazine, photo shoots for the underwear brand My Dear Petra and many other interesting and bright works. At the same time, the model does not plan to leave the main place of work - construction.

Nadezhda was brought up in a boarding school, so her childhood cannot be called cloudless. She grew up a silent, distrustful child to strangers, which is why she was even examined twice in a psychiatric clinic. The beginning of adulthood was also not easy — after boarding school, Nadia was waiting for an inhospitable world in which boarding students are extremely biased.

It was difficult for the girl to find a good job and she changed a lot of places, never giving up additional part-time jobs. The living conditions also left much to be desired - Nadia got a room in a hostel, where it was completely uncomfortable. One day, when she was at work, the door to her apartment was knocked out and all the little that she had was taken away.

Nevertheless, Nadia was able to study at a construction school and was given a one-room apartment in Moscow. Despite the fact that the dwelling was in terrible condition and there were not even sockets, it seemed to the graduate of the boarding school the most cozy and comfortable. All the repair work had to be done independently, but by this time the girl already knew and was able to do everything a builder needed.

Now Nadia Lertulo works for herself — she performs repair and construction work herself, makes purchases of materials, calculates estimates and is looking for new customers. The woman told reporters that sometimes a potential client does not believe that she can do certain jobs. In such cases, Nadia just turns around and leaves — she can't communicate with people who don't trust her.

A woman with a laugh tells how she once demolished a shed for the customer herself, using the laws of physics and several cables. After that, her popularity as a builder greatly increased — many people said: "Wow, I want to meet her, how did a woman break a shed?"

Nadya was told about the agency of non-standard Lumpen models by an artist friend. She said that Nadia's unusual body could be in demand in the fashion world. In fact, the woman looks like an athlete, although she has never trained in the gym in her life — hard work was for her the fitness for which many pay good money to coaches and instructors.

Nadia Lertulo has been cooperating with the Lumpen modeling agency for the fourth year. She not only participates in fashion shows and photo shoots for advertising, but also stars in TV series and even in a big movie. A woman likes to try on unexpected images, work in a creative team and see a spectacular result on the screen. But the most vivid impressions of Nadia are given by fashion shows.

Nadia Lertulo says that photo shoots in underwear are easy for her, because she grew up in a boarding school where few people are shy of each other. She liked the first result very much — Nadezhda says that she feels like a real goddess in good underwear and this helps a lot in her work.

Despite the fact that the modeling business has already begun to bring Nadia good incomes, so far she is not going to say goodbye to the construction site. "In the morning I'm on the podium, and in the evening I change someone's toilet," she jokes. Sometimes it's not easy for her to combine repairs, modeling and caring for her dogs, of which Nadia has several, but she likes this variety and even the lack of free time.
