The owners broke the hind legs of the exhausted lion cub named Simba so that he posed for photos with tourists in Krasnodar Region. When the poor beast got sick and could no longer bring income to the owners, they left him to die in a barn somewhere in Dagestan. Fortunately, the lion was saved, and the cruel owners will suffer the deserved punishment.
The owners broke the poor little animal's paws so that he would not run away and obediently take pictures with vacationers. Simba was only a few weeks old when he was taken away from his mother to earn money from photographs. Last year, he was dragged around the popular tourist spots of the Krasnodar Territory and offered to take a picture for money.
Fortunately, the unfortunate lion managed to be saved. One of the rescuers, Yulia Agaeva, said that Simba was almost not fed and not watered. He lived in a living hell.
After several operations, the lion was able to run again. Veterinarian Karen Dallakyan from Chelyabinsk, who saved Simba's life, said that his recovery was a real miracle after suffering.
Recognized photographers from all over the world have united and organized the Photographers Against Wildlife Crime project ("Photographers against crimes in the Wild"). With their works, they want to convey to humanity the problems of crimes against wildlife and put an end to illegal animal trafficking.
