Almost every day, getting behind the wheel, Ryan went in search of bright and charismatic passengers. Sometimes real celebrities also got into his lens: the poet Allen Ginsberg, impressed by the photographer's works, dedicated a verse to him, where he called him a "taxi-dermist", and another time the actor Ben Gazzara smiled in the window of a neighboring taxi.
Some of Weidemann's works are kept in the Brooklyn Museum, and the collection of photos has already gone through several reprints.
