Harry Potter and the harsh Russian Reality: how would your favorite movie characters look in Russia

Members of the 2D Among Us community add heroes of Western films, TV series, games and comics to Russian landscapes. In 2015, the creators of the public explained its appeal in this way: "Favorite characters come to life when faced with severe life difficulties." One of the mottos of 2D Among Us was the phrase "Reality is for the sad."

The hero of the movie "Home Alone" finds himself in an ordinary Russian kitchen instead of a big house, a sad Alf in a suit rides an empty evening train, and children from Gryffindor and Slytherin compete in Quidditch on a dirty football field. We have already talked about previous similar works of 2D Among Us and about their representation of what the Pokemon Go game would look like in the post-Soviet space, and now we present new masterpieces of community members.

The community was founded by Valery Pereulkin, and at first only he and a couple of friends were involved in the project:

Now collages are offered by different people, their names are visible in the community records.

Over time, there have become more formats: for example, the authors push together characters from different film universes — Soviet and modern Western.
