However, the grieving animal still does not leave the grave in Central Java province, Indonesia, where an elderly woman was buried. 28-year-old Keli Keningau Price, who was passing by and heard meowing, even tried to help the unfortunate animal and take him home. But the very next day the cat returned to the grave, which, as it turned out, did not want to leave for a year.
A devoted pet leaves the cemetery only to eat at the house of the children of his deceased mistress. Passersby also often feed the cat and sometimes try to take it for themselves, but it always returns to the grave.
Experts say that although cats may seem calm and indifferent, they may yearn for owners who have recently died. Cats in such cases become restless, lose interest in what is happening around and the world around them.
