So says Nils Jorgensen — photographer who became known for his interesting street photos received many prestigious awards. We chose for you the most original in our opinion, the work of Jorgensen that guarantee to make you smile.
Although Nils Jorgensen works as a photographer in the British press, at home he is considered eccentric and creative master of street photography.
Interested in photography Nils began in childhood. His father was an Amateur photographer and all of her knowledge had shared with his son. While still in school, Niels "dragged through the streets" during recess and photographed everything, without any plan. It was, according to the photographer, the beginning of his "adventures in street photography".
After high school Nils Jorgensen enrolled at West Surrey College of Art and Design, but after a while he dropped out. "Despite this, I learned a lot then. Classes in a dark room and the library was fantastic, I took so many pictures about books from the library as possible".
An important moment in the life of Nils Jorgensen was the day when he came to the Associated Press office in London and convinced of the legendary German photographer Horst FAAS — winner of two Pulitzer prizes, to take him to work as a photojournalist to cover the events in East Africa.
"I don't live with street photography and wouldn't even be able to earn it, explains the photographer. — All I care about is the ability to take pictures in accordance with my own ideas, and the work of photographer allows me to Fund this bad habit, which I am obsessed."
"In street photography needs to be Dodgers" — said Niels jørgensen and adds that "the most interesting pictures — it is a happy occasion, but it's the happiness you can earn".
"Creating a song, I follow my feelings and try to find the one good moment."
"Everything is in constant motion until the moment when you do a click and then everything freezes, and the only way you can control it. The only thing you can do is to take a picture in the right moment. It is in street photography is more important to me otherwise I'd be a Studio photographer".
According to the photographer, street photography is a very fun and interesting, but many people don't have the courage to start taking photos of strangers, as they fear that they will be accused of violation of privacy.
Niels was many times arrested by the police for shooting people on the street, but was always released because in England to a picture of a person in a public place, don't need to have his permission.
"If you want to do street photography that you must have eyes on the back of your head, because you never know when you see something interesting," — said the photographer.
"Is it the case? For me there's no such thing, says Nils Jorgensen. Wherever I went, I always check took with a camera, and when you see something interesting, I concentrate only on that, the rest of the world ceases to exist for me".
