Do you remember the posters of cinemas and video salons of the late 80s and early 90s? Agree — it was a real, original art, which is now undeservedly forgotten. The 30-year-old St. Petersburg artist Turben somehow decided to revive this genre that the world needs, and he perfectly managed to give a new life to the images that have long been filled with old teeth.

Turbin drew his works exclusively with felt-tip pens, absolutely sparing them, paper and strength. A series of works with frames from famous films and TV shows appeared in 2015. Before that, the master was engaged exclusively in graffiti, which is noticeable in his works. Now Turbin no longer creates such masterpieces and writes original paintings with texts, but he treats this period of his creativity quite warmly and demonstrates its fruits with pleasure.

It is surprising that for five years no one noticed the masterpieces of the St. Petersburg artist, and they certainly deserve attention. Some of them are so good that they can even claim to be used as memes. Perhaps it will be so soon, but in the meantime, let's enjoy this layer of art, which we completely missed before.
