Fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy has died
The founder of the Givenchy fashion house, fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, died in his sleep at the age of 91. The death of the fashion designer was reported by his relatives.




Hubert de Givenchy founded the fashion house in 1958 and managed it until his retirement in 1995. He created outfits for films starring Audrey Hepburn, including the iconic picture "Breakfast at Tiffany's". For Hepburn, the designer released his first perfume, the fragrance L'Interdit. Another famous Givenchy client was Jacqueline Kennedy. Grace Kelly, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich and Ingrid Bergman ordered dresses from him.
