Dolce vita: unknown photos of a young Sophia Loren in a luxury villa

The pictures were kept unpublished in the archives of Life magazine for a long time.
In 1960, Carlo and Sophie began to restore a delightful villa of the XVI century in Marino, which is 16 kilometers from Rome. American journalist Pete Hamill described the villa as follows: "Located among 7 hectares of lawns, neatly trimmed hedges, small waterfalls and fig trees, the villa included, among other things, a stable, an aqueduct, a tennis court, an orchard and a swimming pool."
