It turns out that the phrase "I am an artist, I see it that way" can justify a variety of outrages. Danish conceptual artist Jens Haaning appropriated 84 thousand dollars (6.1 million rubles), calling his act a work of art. Everything is presented in such a way that the former owners of a large sum are puzzled scratching their heads and thinking - to contact the police or to enjoy the new masterpiece of the cunning Jens.

Once upon a time, Jens Haaning created an unusual work – he filled two frames of different sizes with banknotes. They represented the annual income of a Dane and an Austrian. After a while, the Danish Kunsten Gallery again wanted to exhibit this financial installation in the museum of the city of Aalberg, and its representatives turned to Haaning.

Of course, the artist did not refuse the gallery and only demanded to provide him with materials for the work. It was a large and a small frame with glass and, of course, money. For the creative process, 534 thousand crowns (about 84 thousand dollars) were needed, which were delivered to the house of Jens Haaning.

After receiving the money, Jens locked himself away from the whole world in the workshop and plunged into the torments of creativity. Just in time, the Kunsten Gallery received a box with a finished installation, but neither the experts nor the accountant liked it. The frames turned out to be completely empty, and a note with a short text was attached to them: Take the Money And Run ("Take the money and run").

The museum staff were afraid that Haaning, who had not been seen in anything illegal before, simply ran away with the money, but they worried in vain. The author of the composition does not think to hide – he was happy to talk to customers and explained to them that they had received a masterpiece and he owed them nothing more. When asked where the work of art is, Jens answers simply:

Now the management of the Kunsten Gallery is facing a difficult choice. On the one hand, there is a lot of money and it would be worth contacting the police, but on the other - after all, not some wild Asia, but advanced Europe in everything. They are about to be accused of not knowing anything about modern conceptual art, and this is not good for the reputation of the gallery.

In general, it would be possible to get used to the performances of conceptual artists from Western Europe - their resourcefulness and simplicity have long been a legend.
