Cute girls from fairy tales from the Moscow artist Nikolai KurganovPictolic
Russian freelance artist Nikolai Kurganov draws girls. No, he is not inspired by the images of sex bombs and vamp women-the heroines of his works are ordinary residents of modern and future megacities and fairy-tale characters. The master has a peculiar rough manner of work, but at the same time his illustrations are always gentle and interesting. Many of Nikolai's illustrations are slightly surreal, but this makes them no less understandable to the viewer – they smell of recognizable plots.
Nikolai Kurganov's paintings do not impress with their photographic realism and filigree detail. His style is closer to the manner of the Soviet masters of illustration, who created incomparable series for fantastic novels, children's fairy tales and stories about the life of pioneers.
There is also some influence of anime in Kurganov's paintings – no one seems to have managed to avoid this. But even the erotic images of Nikolai turn out to be innocent and do not confuse the viewer at all. And the artist also offers his own view of the well-known movie characters – it's not difficult to recognize them at all.
Nikolai's paintings are very unusual and they have a lot of fans. Now 178 thousand users have subscribed to the artist's Instagram account. He has fans not only in Russia, but also in many other countries of the world.
If you liked the girls of Nikolai, then for sure you will like the pranksters of Javier Hussin – a mysterious illustrator who claims to live on the Moon.
