Two Americans from the city of St. Paul, Minnesota came under the sights of the media due to the fact that they saved the life of a man who wanted to jump off a bridge. It is not surprising, but it was the offer of a joint drink that prompted the would-be suicide not to take his own life.

The events unfolded at the fence of one of the city bridges. According to Jason Gabel and Kvam Anderson, in the early morning of August 15, as usual, they were delivering alcohol to city bars in their truck. But for some reason, they changed the route and drove along the interstate highway I-94.

On one of the ledges of the road, behind the iron fence of the bridge, they saw an unknown person clinging to the partition. It was clear that at any moment he could jump onto the busy concrete highway passing below. So they didn't waste any time, stopped the truck and tried to find out if everything was okay with the guy.

"Can we roll?": in the States, beer deliverers rescued a man who was going to jump from a bridgeDuring a conversation with a stranger, Anderson found out that he came to the bridge with the sole purpose of killing himself. Later, Kvem confessed that he was horrified when he heard an offer from an unknown person to watch him fly. Therefore, I immediately promptly contacted the police and asked for help. The dispatcher said that several officers would be on site within an hour. At the same time, he set a rather difficult task — to stop any suicide attempts to throw himself off the bridge.

The men understood that something had to be done, otherwise everything would be over before the police arrived. Remembering all the famous scenes from the films about the negotiations, they began to rescue.

For an hour, the alcohol deliverers tried to find out the motivation of the suicide. At first, he was in no hurry to tell anything about himself and questioned the interest of the guys. However, Gabel and Kvem continued to communicate with the man and found out that he hails from Chicago and lives a few blocks from the bridge. In addition, he turned out to be the father of two children.

While the conversation was going on, the police who arrived at the scene blocked one of the lanes of the bridge. Kvem kept asking questions, trying to find a way to lure the man out from behind the parapet. And he succeeded: the offer to eat or drink aroused a keen interest in the suicide.

The idea worked: the suicide changed his mind about jumping off the bridge and took a few unhurried steps towards a safe place. However, it was not condemned to drink beer to the culprit of the commotion from Chicago. He was immediately surrounded by rescuers, put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

Then all the attention of law enforcement representatives switched to Anderson and Gabel. Alcohol deliverers filmed a video in which they told about the power of a foamy drink. And the police officers praised the guys for their excellent work and resourcefulness. At the moment, the video has already gained more than 90 thousand views on Facebook and continues to gain popularity.
