But the snake did not appreciate the kindness of the man and did not want to be photographed. As a result, the attempt to take a picture almost ended in tragedy.
Sanjoy Dutta led an operation to rescue a 10-meter python in the forest of the Indian state of West Bengal. After the successful rescue, Dutta decided to take a memorable picture with a snake, but this act almost cost him his life.
Dutta put the python on his shoulders, the rest of the rescuers lined up around him to take a group selfie. But the posing didn't go according to plan. The python didn't like something, it started wrapping itself around Dutt's neck and strangling him.
The forester panicked, tried to loosen the snake's grip. The people around screamed in fear. The group shot could have ended very badly if one of the rescuers had not pulled the python by the tail. The man managed to free himself, and the python was released into the forest.
