46-year-old Dede Phillips was not a timid woman. She went out to the front yard of her own house, stuck a sticker on the bumper of her car saying "Women of good behavior rarely make history" and just wanted to take a photo when a lynx attacked her.
As the woman said later, adrenaline hit her blood, she grabbed the animal by the throat and strangled it until the lynx died.
The drama of this story is added by the fact that at that time Phillips' five-year-old granddaughter was sleeping in the house. For this reason, the woman did not call for help.
After the lynx fell dead, the woman rushed to her son for help, who stabbed the animal several more times.
The result of the battle were broken fingers on both hands, bruises and cuts on the body. Besides, after the fight, Phillips passed tests, and it turned out that the lynx was rabid. Now the woman has to be treated. The first course of treatment will cost 10 thousand dollars. Cousin Phillips launched a fundraiser for his sister's treatment. He has already managed to raise almost 27 thousand dollars.
