A student from Scotland was horrified to find her clone on the social network

If you were hit on the head with a briefcase, pulled by pigtails or secretly kicked under the desk — then you know exactly what harassment among teenagers is. But all these undoubtedly effective methods are outdated, and new, more refined ways to annoy an opponent regularly appear in the world. One of these methods was encountered by Chloe Cowan, a student at the Scottish University of Dundee.

While whiling away time on Instagram, Chloe accidentally noticed strange pictures, the authors of which tried to copy the photo from her page as accurately as possible. Moreover, it was not about single coincidences, but about purposeful copying of all the materials posted by Cowen.

The owner of the clone account turned out to be a classmate of Chloe, named Honey Basra. In her desire to completely repeat all the pictures, this girl even reproduced an album dedicated to the sad event — the death of Chloe Cowan's father.

In total, the student found several hundred photos and videos reproducing her unique content. Basra took pictures in the same places as Cowan, took the same poses and tried to choose the most similar clothes.

The unusual online harassment worried the student's older sister, Linzi Cowan, who told her subscribers about the unusual phenomenon. Most of all, everyone was angered by the album dedicated to the funeral of a person close to the girls.

The girl, who was subjected to a strange persecution, filed a police report against the offender. In addition, the University of Dundee began an inspection, the purpose of which was to find out Basra's motives. While the situation remains unclear — the culprit of the scandal refuses to give explanations and simply deleted the clone account from Instagram without comment.
