But now the little girl has grown up: she has turned a month old, and this means that she is likely to survive. The still unnamed panda was born to a 20-year-old Go-Go. This event has become a holiday for zoo workers.

A healthy and energetic cub at birth was 14.3 cm in length and weighed 151 grams, whereas usually the average weight of pandas at birth is 120-130 grams. Now, after a month, the little big panda has grown up to 38 cm and weighs as much as 1497 grams.
Zoo visitors were asked to suggest a variant of the nickname for the baby, and more than ten thousand offers have already been received. The final name will be announced on September 9.
Although the cub showed excellent test results, zoologists do not want to take risks and do not show the panda to visitors yet. "We need to monitor the situation before the cub can get to know the visitors, because Go-Go is very worried about him. We need to make sure that she is emotionally ready to allow her cub to meet people," said Ming Jingo, director of animal management at the zoo.
From birth, the cub feeds on breast milk and spends most of its time with its mother. Since visitors cannot yet see the little panda with their own eyes, zoo staff have installed cameras so that they can watch her. Specialists will continue to monitor the baby's health and the secretion of breast milk from her mother to make sure that the cub receives enough nutrition.
